In the parish of Moycarkey/Two-Mile Borris/Littleton, the Funeral Ministry team consists of lay men and women who have been trained to provide support at a time of loss. The team will help organise your loved one’s funeral.
The Support from the Funeral Ministry Team Includes:
- Meeting the bereaved family and assisting with preparing the liturgy for the Reception of the Remains and the Funeral Mass.
- Being present in the Church for the Reception of the Remains and the Funeral Mass, and assisting the bereaved family.
- On occasions, attending the graveside or crematorium when the priest is unavailable
The November Mass for the Dead will be prepared by the Funeral Ministry Team in consultation with the parish priest. Families bereaved during the year are invited to participate in this special Mass.
