The parish is delighted to bring a new service to people living at home or abroad. A camera has been installed at the back of St. Kevin’s Church, Littleton to allow Church ceremonies to be shared with those confined to their homes and to those who now live away from the parish. The camera is located at the back of the church facing the Sanctuary. It does not move or face the people in the congregation.
Some daily Masses and one weekend Mass (see Parish Newsletter) will be streamed to people using computers, laptops, iPhones and iPads all over the world where there is broadband available.
Nursing homes and private homes connected to the Internet will have access to this service. The service will be beneficial for families and friends of parishioners who cannot attend funerals and weddings.
You will find the live stream here: https://moycarkeyborris.ie/live-feed/
Please tell your loved ones living away from the parish about this new service and encourage them to tune in to enlarge our prayerful congregation.
NB. The Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Code of Canon Law teaches that we are obliged to attend Mass on Sundays (or Vigil Mass) and Holy Days of Obligation.
The above service does not replace this obligation. It is intended for people who are unable to attend Mass (e.g. those who are sick or advanced in years).
