Our Gospel today celebrates the joy of God’s forgiveness. Our Listening Process has highlighted that we are in need of God’s forgiveness. We are called to be a more humble church as parishioners have stated “We want genuine sorrow for what went on in the past” and “We should all be able to recognise our failings” (p. 49 Diocesan Listening Process Report).
