Happy Easter to everyone
Our thanks to all who took part in the Holy Week and Easter ceremonies, especially to all who took special responsibilities – to our sacristans and helpers, the choir leaders, organists, and the choir members; those who helped in the preparation and decoration of the Churches; the flower arrangers, and all who carried out their special ministries to enhance the liturgies.
Lenten Food Appeal: The Transition Year students who are doing the Pope John Paul II Award would like to express their sincere thanks to all who donated to their Lenten Food Appeal. Over six barrels of food has been collected so far.
Parish Lottery: Congratulations to Sharon Ralph winner of this week’s Parish Lotto. The Jackpot now stands at €5,000.
Ormond Octaves With Special Guests: Music Generation:
A memorable night of song and music is in store when the Ormond Octaves choir perform in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles on Friday 2nd May at 8pm.. All proceeds to the Cathedral Reroofing Project. St. Pio Relics: Will visit Holycross Abbey on Sat 24th and Sun 25th May. Veneration and ceremonies from 10am to 8pm on Saturday and 9am to 8pm on Sunday (incorporating our annual St. Pio Pilgrimage on Sunday from 1.30pm). All are welcome. Bereavement Support Information Talk: Will take place in Milford Care Centre, Education Department, V94 H795 on Tue 29th April 2025 from 7pm – 8.30pm. The Bereavement Information Talk is designed to give general information on grief and bereavement to bereaved people, their family and friends. Members of the Bereavement Service will be present to provide general information on Grief and Bereavement. The evening will comprise of: Short talk by a Bereavement Counsellor, Different experiences of Grief, Services available, Question Time. The Information Talk is Free. No booking required, Check in from 6.40pm
