Lenten Food Appeal: Over the next seven weeks we are inviting parishioners to donate a non-perishable food item each weekend during Lent. After Lent, items will be donated to one of the Third World Countries. Our food item next weekend is Soup.  Please bring some with you to Mass and leave it in the box inside the Church door. (This project is being organised by a group of Transition Year Students for the parish who are participating in the Pope John Paul II Awards).

 

Parish Lottery: Congratulations to John Ryan winner of this week’s Parish Lotto. The Jackpot now stands at €3,725.

 

Course for Ministers of the Eucharist: This course is intended for all Ministers of the Eucharist in our Parish Pastoral Combination.  It will take place in Lámh Cúnta, Bóthar Na Naomh, Thurles on Tuesday, February 27th from 7.30pm – 9pm.

 

Moycarkey Active Retirement Group: Will hold a meeting on Tuesday,   February 27th at 3.30pm in Múintir Na Tire Hall. New members welcome.

 

Multiple Sclerosis Churchgate Collection: Will take place 2nd & 3rd March. Your support will be appreciated.

 

History walk and talk on the Littleton area with Jimmy Duggan: Will take place on Thursday 29th, meeting at 10.15am at the Community Centre, Littleton.

 

The Moycarkey-Borris Saint Patrick’s Day parade: Will take place in Littleton on Sunday March 17th at 10.30am. Those interested in taking part should contact parade chairman Sean Ryan on (087) 4581455.  A Church gate collection for the parade will take place at all Masses in the parish this weekend.

Thurles Lions Club: Would like to thank all who participated in and supported the Clover Bog Walk held recently.  It was a huge success and much needed funds were raised for Two Mile Borris Community Projects and Thurles Lions Club Projects.
