First Holy Communion: Will take place in St. James Church, Two Mile Borris on Friday, May 2nd, 2025 at 11am. All four schools in the parish will receive First Holy Communion on that day.
In preparation for this special occasion, there will be three ‘Do This in Memory’ Masses held in each of the Parish Churches. The dates for these Masses are as follows: ●St. James Church, Two-Mile-Borris: Sunday, November 17th at 10:30am ●St. Peter’s Church, Moycarkey: Saturday, February 8th at 6:30pm ● Our Lady & St. Kevin’s Church, Littleton: Sunday, March 30th at 12:00 Noon. We encourage all families to attend these Masses as part of the preparation process.
Sacrament of Confirmation: April 5th, 2025 at 11am in St. Peter’s Church, Moycarkey.
First Friday: Communion calls to the sick and the housebound at the usual times.
Bishop John Ryan: A special Mass will be celebrated at St. James’ Church, Two-Mile-Borris, on Tuesday, October 1st, at 2pm in memory of the late Bishop John Ryan, former Bishop of Limerick. Bishop John was a native of Two-Mile-Borris. His parents are buried in the local cemetery. The Cemetery Committee will unveil a plaque in his honour after Mass. Light refreshments will be served after Mass.
Parish Lottery: Congratulations to Peter Doran winner of this week’s Parish Lotto. The Jackpot now stands at €5,000.
Moycarkey, Littleton & TMB Community Alert Church Gate Collection: Will take place 5th & 6th October. Your support would be appreciated.
Munster Retreat: There will be a one-day retreat for young adults from 16 to 35 years in Thurles MIC, on Saturday the 5th of October from 9 to 6pm. Donation only and food supplied. Archbishop Kieran will celebrate mass at 12 noon and there will be talks during the day. All welcome.
Fr. Sylvestor with Healing Ministry: Will celebrate Mass in Littleton Church on Tuesday, October 1st at 7pm. He will pray individually with everyone. Holy Face prayers at 6pm. Eircode ELI HD90.
The National Vocations Office: Will be holding three open days for men over the age of 18 who wish to explore Diocesan Priesthood in Dublin (UCD), Galway (NUIG) and Thurles (Pallottine College) during October and November.
