Feast of St. Blaise: Blessing of throats will take place at all Weekend Masses and at the 9am Mass on Monday in Our Lady & St. Kevin’s Church, Littleton.
Celebrating St. Brigid: Sunday 2nd February. All are invited to a Pilgrim Path Walk at 3pm to Liathmore Abbey, Two Mile Borris for a celebration ceremony and blessed rushes for every household to make St. Brigid’s cross. Starting at the entrance to the Hayes Farm, Middlepiece. Parking on the roadside either side of the entrance. Wear walking boots/wellies and suitable outdoor clothing. All Welcome.
‘Do This In Memory’: Mass for the children preparing for First Holy Communion will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Church, Moycarkey on Saturday, February 8th at 6.30pm. All the children in the schools of the parish who are receiving the Sacrament are expected to attend accompanied by their parents.
Ceremony of Light – Enrolment Ceremony for the Sacrament of Confirmation: This ceremony will take place in Our Lady & St. Kevin’s Church, Littleton on Tuesday, February 11th at 7.00pm. Those who are receiving the Sacrament (on Saturday, April 5th) are requested to attend accompanied by their parents.
Heros & Ghosts: (Play by Christy Clancy about Life and Time of Larry Slattery, Local World War 11 Hero) will take place in Horse & Jockey Hotel on 7th and 8th February at 8pm. Supporting Autism Classes in St. Kevin’s N.S. Littleton. A Preschool will open in St. Kevin’s N.S., Littleton in September 2025. For more details please contact 050444493 or 089 4021180.
Thurles Lions Club Clover Bog Walk, Two Mile Borris – Monday 3rd February. Registration in Bannons Pub at 10.00am. Walk commences at 10.30am. Followed by refreshments in Bannons Pub afterwards. All funds donated to Two Mile Borris community and Thurles Lions Club. All are welcome.
Annual Mass for Sports Organisations in the Parish: This Mass (organised by the Pope John Paul II Group) will be held in Our Lady & St. Kevin’s Church, Littleton on Sunday, February 16th at 12 noon. All clubs involved in sport are invited to attend.
Parish Lottery: Congratulations to Rhona Flanagan winner of this week’s Parish Lotto. The Jackpot now stands at €5,000.
